The owner of Forster Myotherapy, Jimmy Wilson is a myotherapist, sports remedial practitioner, and Bowen therapist with a passion for treating sports injuries and relieving chronic pain.
A Forster local, Jimmy studied Remedial Massage in Sydney, and while there he worked with NSW Rugby Union, Rugby League, multiple NRL teams, Sydney FC and NSW Cricket as a soft-tissue therapist.
In 2007 Jimmy relocated to Melbourne, where he opened his first soft-tissue injury clinic. Over the next fourteen years, Jimmy grew the clinic to include multiple myotherapists, exercise physiologists, remedial massage therapists, and personal trainers. Seeing the need for other forms of recovery therapy, he also opened the Sports Recovery Centre, with ice baths, infrared saunas, hyperbaric oxygen chamber and Recovery Pump boots to aid and compliment his client’s recovery from their sporting activities.
After wanting to come home for many years, Jimmy has finally returned and opened Forster Myotherapy, where he utilises myofascial release, remedial massage, cupping, dry needling, and Bowen Therapy in the assessment, treatment and rehabilitation of postural dysfunction and musculoskeletal injury.
Jimmy’s clients see him for a range of things, including:
- myotherapy
- sports and remedial massage
- dry needling (including electro-needling)
- Bowen therapy
- pregnancy massage
- deep-tissue massage
- trigger point therapy
- cupping
